CHATTANOOGA AQUARIUM

Monday, Michael and I went to Chattanooga for a day trip. Though it seemed like a bit much for one day, at first, it was the perfect trip. I have not been to Chattanooga in over fifteen years, and was well worth it! the fresh water aquarium was fantastic. It is a two hour drive from Birmingham and once we arrived we spent several hours at both aquariums, took a drive around, and had a late lunch. We were home by 6! I highly recommend making the drive.

I got so inspired at the jelly fish exhibit. The pics below make me want to explore some photography- I couldn't stop taking photographs. Unfortunately all I had was my I phone, but I think they came out pretty good! enjoy-

SOME FURNITURE DESIGNS

Below are some furniture designs I have been working on over the years, all of course were meant to be produced, but never quite got there with the clients. The first are upholstered consoles and side tables/ottomans. The idea behind these pieces was to conceal an off the shelf fold out sofa bed mechanism, or one could purchase with out this as a media console, etc. I was still working on the mechanism itself in this case. For those with tighter spaces.

Below is a simple 1x1 painted tube steel frame with inlayed stained wood shelving. This project was for myself as a media room solution to the television and components. I have worked this out with local fabricators and can be purchased for custom production through myself! Just contact me and let me know your specific sizes required and I can work you up a price!

Below is a "charette" with Tish Fuller at Defining Home. It was developed in one day for a presentation to a local outdoor furniture manufacturer. It was designed to be tubular aluminum frames to keep cost down with optional additions of exterior grade slipcovers and alternative cushion designs. Good idea, but didn't make it very far! Enjoy! All these design are of course, are copyrighted from inception to Louis Johnson Design.

A FRESH TABLESCAPE

In an effort to diversify and have some fun, i spent a few hours Wednesday afternoon planning a small tablescape project for dinner. With a $15.00 budget I utilized dishware from my own collection, friend's barware, and a few thrift store finds! I also walked around my condo complex and neighborhood to collect the flowers and used food props already purchased for dinner. I used these for a fun interview I had for Hoffman Media the next day. Enjoy!
